[ English ] Welcome to meeting number of the Standing Committee on Official Languages. This morning we are starting the meeting with committee business. [ Translation ] Good morning, Mr. Nadeau. Are you well this morning? Mr. Richard Nadeau (Gatineau, BQ) : Mr. Chair, I cannot contain my joy. Just knowing that the committee was meeting this morning, I woke up at a.m.

The Chair : Many of your colleagues went to see the movie Incendies last night. Did you go, Mr. Nadeau? Mr. Richard Nadeau : Unfortunately not. Last night, I was at the Knights of Columbus hall, Ste-Maria Goretti council, for a community event. The Chair : Congratulations. Mr. Richard Nadeau : Thank you very much. The Chair : We are considering the Fourth Report of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure.

The recommendation reads as follows: That the meeting of October 7, 2010 be dedicated to the consideration of a draft report for the study of immigration as a development tool in official language minority communities. That is the report submitted by the steering committee. If there are no questions or comments, we will proceed immediately to the vote. (Motion agreed to) The Chair : Thank you very much.
