We can now proceed to the election of the chair. I am ready to receive motions to that effect. Mrs. Susan Kadis (Thornhill, Lib.) : It is my pleasure to nominate Yasmin Ratansi as chair of the committee for the status of women. The Clerk : It has been moved by Susan Kadis that Yasmin Ratansi be elected as chair of the committee. Mrs. Joy Smith (Kildonan—St. Paul, CPC) : Madam, if you need a seconder, I would second that. You don't? Okay.
