Dean Allison (Niagara West—Glanbrook, CPC)) : Welcome to our committee business meeting. Today we need to appoint a new member to the subcommittee on committee budgets of the Liaison Committee. We're here today because we lost one of our members. Ms. Boivin is no longer committee chair, so she'll have to be removed from the subcommittee. Since it's the full committee that actually appoints the subcommittee, we're here for this one vote. Once that vote is completed, we'll be done and we can move into subcommittee business. All the other members are free to leave after that.

Do we have any motions from the floor for a new member for the subcommittee? Mr. David Christopherson (Hamilton Centre, NDP) : I move that Mr. Martin be appointed to the budget subcommittee. The Chair : All in favour of appointing Mr. Martin to the subcommittee on committee budgets? Opposed? (Motion agreed to) The Chair: We will suspend for five minutes. Only members of the subcommittee for budgets need to stick around. All the other chairs are free to go. With that, this meeting is adjourned to the call of the chair.
