I'm ready to take a motion. Mr. David Christopherson (Hamilton Centre, NDP) : I move that Dean Allison be nominated as chair. The Clerk : Mr. Christopherson moves that Mr. Dean Allison be elected chair of the liaison committee. Are there any other motions? I understand we only have one motion. Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt the motion? (Motion agreed to) The Clerk: Mr.

Allison is elected chair of this committee. [ Translation ] Some hon. members: Hear, hear! The Clerk: Before Mr. Allison takes the chair, [ English ] we have to elect a vice-chair. Are there any motions to elect a vice-chair? Mr. Preston. Mr. Joe Preston (Elgin—Middlesex—London, CPC) : I'll nominate Mr. Christopherson. The Clerk : Mr. Preston moves that Mr. Christopherson be elected vice-chair of the liaison committee. Are there any other motions? I see none. Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt the motion?
