CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Litter Control Act, 1973 (Assented to May 7, 1976.) 1973, c.59, new sections 22A and 22B The Litter Control Act, 1973 is amended by inserting after

section the following sections: Enforcement officers, powers “22A(1) Officers of the department appointed under The Provincial Parks, Protected Areas, Recreation Sites and Antiquities Act and wildlife officers appointed under The Game Act, 1967 shall be enforcement officers for the purposes of enforcing this Act and the regulations. “

(2) An enforcement officer has the powers and is subject to the duties of a peace officer. Time limitation on prosecution “22B No prosecution for an offence against this Act or the regulations shall be commenced after two years from the date of the commission of the alleged offence”.
