Part 1 of this Bill amends The Waste Reduction and Prevention Act . It explicitly allows money from the Waste Reduction and Recycling Support Fund to be used to support organic waste management programs and initiatives. It also increases fines and removes th e requirement to have an advisory committee. La première

Part 2 of the Bill amends The Environment Act . It enables the dumping of designated materials in landfills an d waste disposal grounds to be prohibited or restricted by regulation. It also clarifies the definition "waste ". La deuxième

a) by adding " debris from construction, renovation and demolition projects; " after " machinery; "; and (

b) by adding " organic waste; " after " animal wastes; ". 6
