Order in Council 1122/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Government of Ontario is committed to an ethical, timely and effective administration of a vaccine distribution plan in response to the covid -19 pandemic;

And

whereas pursuant to Order in Council numbered O.C.1650/2020, made December 4, 2020, the Lieutenant Governor in Council established covid -19 Vaccine Distribution Secretariat (the “Secretariat”) as a Short Term Advisory body to provide advice on the logistics and operational planning associated with delivering the covid -19 vaccines to Ontarians;

And

whereas it is desirable to extend the term of the Secretariat;

Therefore , pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in right of Ontario with respect to the establishment of Short Term Advisory Bodies to assist Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities:

The covid -19 Vaccine Distribution Secretariat (the “Secretariat”) is hereby extended for the period ending December 31, 2021.

Each member of the Secretariat shall serve at the Ministers’ pleasure for a period not extending beyond December 31, 2021.

Further, Order in Council numbered O.C. 1650/2020, made December 4, 2020 is hereby revised and shall be interpreted accordingly.
