Main Brook Municipal Planning Area

under the

Urban and Rural Planning Act

(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of

section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act

and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act

, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Main Brook Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING

AREA

Beginning at a point on the highwater mark of the westernmost extrem ity

of Hacketts Head at the entrance to Ariege (Belvy) Bay;

Then south 82 00' east a distance of 3,250 metres, more or less;

Then south 7 00' west a distance of 6,750 metres, more or less;

Then north 82 00' west a distance of 6,850 metres, more or less;

Then north 79 00' west a distance of 2,825 metres, more or less, to a point on the western bank at the mouth of an unnamed brook on the northern shoreline of First Salmon Pond;

Then north 3 30' west a distance of 1,750 metres, more or less, to a height of land;

Then north 5 30' east a distance of 900 metres, more or less, to a height of land;

Then north 16 30' east a distance of 1,100 metres, more or less, to a height of land;

Then north 67 30' east a distance of 3,700 metres, more or less, to the highwater mark on the eastern side of a cove northwest of Main Brook;

Then in a general easterly direction along the shoreline at the highwater mark passing Salmon Bay, Echelle Point, Burnt Point, Prince Edward Bay, Drac Bay, Bald Head to Hacketts Head, the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to grid north and as with distance given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Map.
