OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated October 30, 2019, and pursuant to Sections 672.1(1), 672.38 and 672.4(1) of

Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code , is pleased, effective November 28, 2019 to: (

a) appoint Retired Justice Suzanne Hood of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as a member and the Chairperson of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board for a term of office of three (3) years; (

b) determine the remuneration of Retired Justice Suzanne Hood to be at the rate of $150.00 per hour, to a maximum of 55 hours per month, for time spent necessarily attending to the duties as a member and the Chairperson of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board; (

c) determine that Retired Justice Suzanne Hood shall be paid such actual and reasonable travel and other expenses as may be incurred by her in the performance of her duties, payable in accordance with the travel policies and guidelines of the Province of Nova Scotia applicable to civil servants; (

d) determine the remuneration of members designated as alternates by the Chairperson of the Criminal Code Review Board be at the rate of $150.00 per hour for time spent necessarily attending to the duties as an alternate Chairperson of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board; and (

e) determine that an alternate Chairperson shall be paid such actual and reasonable travel and other expenses as may be incurred by them in the performance of their duties as an alternate Chairperson, payable in accordance with the travel policies and guidelines of the Province of Nova Scotia applicable to civil servants.
