OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated June 13, 2000, and pursuant to
Section 3 of
Chapter 252 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Legal Aid Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint R. Gordon Murray, Q.C., of New Glasgow, Pictou County, as a director of the Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission for a term of office of three years commencing July 27, 2000; and (
b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against R. Gordon Murray, Q.C., and indemnify him from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
