OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated January 7, 2016, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the ,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective January 8, 2016: (

a) revoke the appointment of Catherine Woodman as Deputy Minister of Business; (

b) appoint MJ MacDonald as Acting Deputy Minister of Business; (

c) designate MJ MacDonald as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

d) fix and determine the acting pay for MJ MacDonald to be at a rate of 10% of her existing pay rate; and (

e) direct that MJ MacDonald shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
