Order in Council 787/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council 956/2019, as amended by Order in Council 92/2022, and as further amended by Order in Council 778/2024 , eight positions of Special Advisor, Agent-General were established to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council;

And

whereas by Order in Council 778/2024 , the position of Special Advisor, Agent-General (London, United Kingdom) is continued for a period not exceeding two years effective July 15, 2024;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to provide for the appointment and remuneration of advisors to serve His Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Sophia Arvanitis of Toronto

is hereby re-appointed as Special Advisor, Agent-General (London, United Kingdom), reporting to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, to be paid a base remuneration of $185,000 (Canadian) per year effective July 15, 2024, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding two years, effective July 15, 2024.
