OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated February 14, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 10 of

Chapter 254 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Libraries Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Kenneth MacDonald of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Port Morien) as a member of the Cape Breton Regional Library Board for a term of three years commencing March 31, 2014; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Kenneth MacDonald in his capacity as member of the Cape Breton Regional Library Board and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
