OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Human Rights Act dated October 18, 2017, and pursuant to
Section 22 of
Chapter 214 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Human Rights Act , is pleased to: (
a) re-appoint Deepak Prasad of Antigonish, Antigonish County, as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a three (3) year term commencing December 5, 2017; (
b) re-appoint Karen Armour of Windsor, Hants County, as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a three (3) year term commencing December 5, 2017; (
c) re-appoint Norbert Comeau of Church Point, Digby County, as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a two (2) year term commencing December 5, 2017; (
d) re-appoint Vishal Bhardwaj of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth), as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a three (3) year term commencing December 5, 2017; (
e) determine the remuneration of Deepak Prasad to be at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each half day spent at duly called meetings of the Commission for his term of office; (
f) determine the remuneration of Karen Armour to be at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each half day spent at duly called meetings of the Commission for her term of office; (
g) determine the remuneration of Norbert Comeau to be at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each half day spent at duly called meetings of the Commission for his term of office; and (
h) determine the remuneration of Vishal Bhardwaj to be at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each half day spent at duly called meetings of the Commission for his term of office.
