CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Department of Economic Development Act, 1993 (Assented to April 28, 1995) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Department of Economic Development Amendment Act, 1995. S.S. 1993, c.D-12.11, new

section

Section of The Department of Economic Development Act, 1993 is repealed and the following substituted: AFinancial assistance The minister, for any purpose relating to any matter under the minister's administration or for which the minister is responsible, may: (

a) provide financial assistance by way of grant, loan, guarantee or other similar means, in accordance with any terms and conditions prescribed in the regulations, to any person, agency, organization, association, enterprise, institution or body within or outside Saskatchewan; (

b) charge any rate of interest that the minister considers appropriate on any loan provided pursuant to clause (a); and (

c) subject to any terms and conditions that Treasury Board may impose, sell, rent, lease or otherwise dispose of property and assets acquired by the minister as a result of any loan provided pursuant to clause (a)@. Coming into force This Act comes into force on assent.
