OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated September 18, 2024, and pursuant to Sections 13 and 15 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Ibrahim Elayyat of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three (3) years commencing October 8, 2024; (

b) reappoint Jean McKenna of Halifax Regional Municipality (Porters Lake) as a member and designated as Chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three (3) years commencing October 8, 2024; (

c) order that Ibrahim Elayyat be remunerated in the amount of $150 per meeting and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling duties as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service; and (

d) order that Jean McKenna be remunerated in the amount of $200 per meeting and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling duties as member and designated Chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service.
