OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated October 30, 2008, and pursuant to Sections 6 and 7 of

Chapter 20 of the Acts of 1990, the Film Nova Scotia Act, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Amanda J. Whitewood, as a member of the Board of Directors of Film Nova Scotia, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2006-395 dated September 21, 2006; (

b) appoint Judy A. Steele, of Halifax, as a member of the Board of Directors of Film Nova Scotia for a term of three (3) years commencing November 25, 2008; (

c) authorize the payment of $100 per day, plus reasonable expenses to the members of the Board for attending Board meetings of Film Nova Scotia; (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointee of the Board of Directors of Film Nova Scotia and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
