AN ACT TO AMEND THE EXECUTION CREDITORS ACT (Assented to , 1984) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1 The Execution Creditors Act is amended by this Act. 2

Section is amended by adding the following after subsection (2):

(2.1) Where the first amount payable to the debtor that is bound by the garnishee summons does not satisfy the amount set out in the summons, the summons shall subsist and continue in force to bind the next and each subsequent amount that thereafter becomes due from the garnishee to the debtor, until such time as the total amount set out in the summons together with the costs payable in respect of the summons under the rules of Court, has been bound by the summons. 3 This Act comes into force on Proclamation. Explanatory Notes This Bill will amend

chapter E-14 of the Revised Stamtes of Alberta 1980. 2 New subsection that will enable a garnishee summons to remain in force to attach more than one amount payable to the debtor. 3 Coming into force. Title: 1984 (20th, 2nd) Bill 253,
