Order in Council 1735/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 938/2023, dated June 29, 2023, Rohan K. Thompson was appointed as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police for a period not to exceed three years, effective from July 1, 2023;

And

whereas Rohan K. Thompson continued in office as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police under subsection 56 (5) of the Community Safety and Policing Act , 2019 ;

And

whereas Rohan K. Thompson has, in writing, resigned his appointment, effective January 1, 2025;

Therefore , pursuant to subsection 17(3) of the Police Services Act and

section 56 of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 , Order in Council numbered O.C. 938/2023, dated June 29, 2023, appointing Rohan K. Thompson as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police, is hereby revoked effective the later of January 1, 2025 and the date this Order in Council is made.
