Order in Council 360/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 5(12) of the Legal Aid Services Act, 1998 , a person appointed as Chair of the Board of Legal Aid Ontario on a full-time basis shall be remunerated at the rate of $150,000 annually.

Further, a person appointed as Chair of the Board of Legal Aid Ontario shall be reimbursed for reasonable work-related expenses while engaged in the business of Legal Aid Ontario in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.

And further, a person appointed as Chair of the Board of Legal Aid Ontario shall be eligible for benefits, including vacation, comparable to the benefit entitlements of OPS executives in the Senior Management Group and is entitled to elect to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan in accordance with the provisions of the Plan.
