OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated January 29, 2007, and pursuant to

Section 6 of

Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, as amended by

Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1999,

An Act to Amend

Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, is pleased to: (a)\x09appoint the following person as a member of the Board of Governors of the Gaelic College Foundation for a term of two years commencing March 2, 2007: \x09Julia Anne Covey, Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; and (b)\x09order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Julia Anne Covey and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
