OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated April 16, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , is pleased, effective May 5, 2025, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Kelliann Dean as Acting Deputy Minister of Growth and Development; (

b) revoke the appointment of Byron Rafuse as Deputy Minister responsible for the provision of strategic leadership related to housing; (

c) appoint Christopher Morrissey as Deputy Minister of Growth and Development; (

d) designate Christopher Morrissey as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

e) direct that Christopher Morrissey shall receive benefits associated with the position of Deputy Minister as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; and (

f) fix and determine the salary of Christopher Morrissey to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers.
