OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated June 27, 2013, and pursuant to

Section 72 of

Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2004, the Legal Profession Act , is pleased, effective August 6, 2013 to: (

a) appoint Estelle Theriault, Q.C. of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), as a member of the Board of the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia for a term of two years; (

b) appoint Joshua Arnold, Q.C. of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), as a member of the Board of the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia for a term of two years; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Estelle Theriault, Q.C. and Joshua Arnold, Q.C. and indemnify them from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointments and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
