B.C. Reg. 369/2010 , deposited December 17, 2010, pursuant to the BALANCED BUDGET AND MINISTERIAL ACCOUNTABILITY ACT [Section 9]. Regulation of the Treasury Board, dated December 16, 2010.

Treasury Board orders that

(

a) responsibility for the expected results specified in

section 4 of the Ministers of State Expected Results for the 2010/2011 Fiscal Year Regulation, B.C. Reg. 52/2010, is transferred to the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Investment and Minister Responsible for the Intergovernmental Relations Secretariat,

(

b) responsibility for the expected results specified in

section 6 (d), (e), (

f) and (g), and paragraph (h), to the extent that paragraph (

h) applies to paragraphs (d), (e), (

f) and (g), of the Ministers of State Expected Results for the 2010/2011 Fiscal Year Regulation, B.C. Reg. 52/2010, is transferred to the Minister of Health Services, and

(

c) the attached amendment to the Ministers of State Expected Results For the 2010/2011 Fiscal Year Regulation, B.C. Reg. 52/2010, is made.

Schedule

1 The Ministers of State Expected Results for the 2010/2011 Fiscal Year Regulation, B.C. Reg. 52/2010, is amended by adding the following section:

Minister of State for Building Code Renewal

2.1 The expected results that the Minister of State for Building Code Renewal is to achieve for the purposes of

section 5 (3) of the Act are as follows:

(

a) building on the success of the government's modernization strategy to achieve an effective and efficient building regulatory system in British Columbia, work in collaboration with the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General and Minister Responsible for Housing to determine the best ways of achieving consistent compliance with the British Columbia Building Code across the Province by eliminating duplication and unnecessary rules created by various levels of government that hinder the efficient construction of buildings in British Columbia;

(

b) building on the new Government Technology and Transformation Strategy, open a dialogue with citizens, representatives of industry and local government to explore better ways to apply technology in a more coordinated and effective manner and work together to implement a common vision for the built environment of tomorrow;

(

c) building on the success of the greening of the British Columbia Building Code,

(

i) encourage the improvement of energy and water efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in British Columbia,

(ii) support the government's Wood First Policy, and

(iii) lead the work to renew the 3-year rolling plan for the greening of the British Columbia Building Code;

(

d) report to Cabinet on the results referred to in paragraphs (

a) to (c).
