part is for administrative purposes only and is not part of the Order.) Authority under which Order is made: PROVINCE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA REGULATION OF THE MOTOR CARRIER COMMISSION Motor Carrier Act Pursuant to

section of the Motor Carrier Act, the Motor Carrier Commission orders that the Motor Carrier Regulation No. 2, B.C. Reg. 252/94, is amended (

a) effective September 15, 2000, by adding the following section: Exemption — limited municipal taxis 2.1

(1) In this section, "limited municipal taxi" means a motor vehicle, including a limousine, that (

a) is designed to carry not more than 10 persons, and (

b) in the period from June 15, 1999 to September 15, 2000, was, with a driver, operated for hire exclusively in one municipality, and includes any motor vehicle obtained and used as a replacement for such motor vehicle.

(2) The provisions of the Act and this regulation do not apply to a limited municipal taxi operated as a commercial passenger vehicle on a highway if and only for so long as that limited municipal taxi is being operated exclusively within the municipality referred to in subsection (1) (b). , and (

b) effective March 15, 2001, by repealing

section 2.1. Chair of the for Carrier Commission (This
