OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated February 11, 2010, and pursuant to Sections 84 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in him vested, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Scott Logan as Assistant Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, effective February 16, 2010; (

b) revoke the appointment of Greg Roach as Assistant Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, effective February 16, 2010; (

c) revoke the appointment of Elizabeth Cody as Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance, effective February 16, 2010; (

d) appoint Scott Logan as Associate Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, effective February 16, 2010; (

e) appoint Greg Roach as Associate Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, effective February 16, 2010; (

f) appoint Elizabeth Cody as Associate Deputy Minister of the Treasury Board Office, effective February 16, 2010; (

g) appoint Jeffrey Conrad as Associate Deputy Minister of Labour and Workforce Development, effective March 1, 2010; (

h) appoint Frances Martin as Associate Deputy Minister of Health, effective March 1, 2010; (

i) appoint Dave Ryan as Associate Deputy Minister of Community Services, effective February 22, 2010; (

j) appoint Holly Fancy as Associate Deputy Minister of the Chief Information Office, who may be referred to as the Chief Information Officer, effective February 16, 2010; (

k) designate Scott Logan, Greg Roach, Elizabeth Cody, Jeffrey Conrad, Frances Martin, Dave Ryan and Holly Fancy as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act, in their performance of the duties of the deputy as have been or may be delegated to them pursuant to

Section 84 of the Public Service Act; (

l) fix and determine the salaries of Scott Logan, Greg Roach, Elizabeth Cody, Jeffrey Conrad, Frances Martin, Dave Ryan and Holly Fancy to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; (

m) direct that Scott Logan, Greg Roach, Elizabeth Cody, Jeffrey Conrad, Frances Martin, Dave Ryan and Holly Fancy shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; and (

n) designate Scott Logan, Greg Roach, Elizabeth Cody, Jeffrey Conrad, Frances Martin, Dave Ryan and Holly Fancy to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
