Statute: Sherbrooke Restoration Commission Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated February 23, 2012, and pursuant to clause 5(1)(

c) of

Chapter 425 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Sherbrooke Restoration Commission Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Ann Marie Bagnall of Larry's River, Guysborough County; Clarence L. Humber of Port Bickerton, Guysborough County; Ruth M. Legge of Liscomb Mills, Guysborough County; and Michael McGinn of Aspen, Guysborough County as members of the Sherbrooke Restoration Commission, each for a three year term commencing May 1, 2012; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointments of the Sherbrooke Restoration Commission and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claims, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
