An Act to Amend the Time Definition Act Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: 1

Section 1 of the Time Definition Act,

chapter T-6 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended (

a) in subsection (3) by striking out “in each year between one minute after twelve o’clock in the fore- noon of the first Sunday in April and one minute after twelve o’clock in the forenoon of the last Sunday in October” and substituting “in each year during the pe- riod between 2 a.m. of the first Sunday in April and 2 a.m. of the last Sunday in October”; (

b) by adding after subsection (3) the following: 1(4) Notwithstanding subsections (2) and (3), in the year 2007 and in every subsequent year during the period between 2 a.m. of the second Sunday in March and 2 a.m. of the first Sunday in November, time shall be reckoned as three hours behind Greenwich Mean Time. 1(5) Notwithstanding subsections (2), (3) and (4), the Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations prescribing the period during which time shall be reck- oned as three hours behind Greenwich Mean Time and the year or years in which such period applies. Loi sur l’heure réglementaire, cha- pitre T-6 des Lois révisées de 1973, est modifié

a) au paragraphe (3), par la suppression de « chaque année durant la période située entre zéro heure une minute le premier dimanche d’avril et zéro heure une minute le dernier dimanche d’octobre » et son remplacement par « chaque année durant la pé- riode entre le premier dimanche d’avril à 2 h et le der- nier dimanche d’octobre à 2 h »;

b) par l’adjonction, après le paragraphe (3), de ce qui suit : 1(4) Nonobstant les paragraphes (2) et (3), pour l’année 2007 et chaque année par la suite durant la période entre le deuxième dimanche de mars à 2 h et le premier diman- che de novembre à 2 h, l’heure réglementaire retarde de trois heures sur l’heure moyenne de Greenwich. 1(5) Nonobstant les paragraphes (2), (3) et (4), le lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil peut établir des règle- ments prescrivant la période entre laquelle l’heure régle- mentaire retarde de trois heures sur l’heure moyenne de Greenwich et l’année ou les années pendant lesquelles cette période s’applique.

Section 1 (

a) The existing provision reads as follows: 1(3) Notwithstanding subsection (2), in each year between one minute after twelve o’clock in the forenoon of the first Sunday in April and one minute after twelve o’clock in the forenoon of the last Sunday in October, time shall be reckoned as three hours behind Greenwich Mean Time. (

b) New provisions.

Article 1

a) La disposition actuelle se lit comme suit : 1(3) Nonobstant le paragraphe (2), chaque année durant la période située entre zéro heure une minute le premier dimanche d’avril et zéro heure une minute le dernier dimanche d’octobre, l’heure régle- mentaire retarde de trois heures sur l’heure moyenne de Greenwich.

b) Nouvelles dispositions.

Article 2 Entrée en vigueur.
