OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Acting Minister of Justice dated August 8, 2002, and pursuant to

Section 28 of

Chapter 348 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Marion Ferguson of Upper Tantallon, Halifax Regional Municipality, as an alternate chair of the Police Review Board for a term of office commencing August 23, 2002 and ending March 27, 2005; (

b) fix the remuneration of an alternate chair at $175.00 per meeting; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Marion Ferguson as an alternate chair and indemnify her from personal liability provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
