These regulations may be cited as the Northern Peninsula

Regional Service Board Regulations, 2013

Definition

In these regulations, "board" means the Northern Peninsula Regional Service Board.

Prescribed services

(1)The board has the power to construct, acquire, maintain and operate a waste management system within the Northern Peninsula Region.

(2) The board has the power to provide fire protection services to the portion of the Northern Peninsula Region defined as the towns, local service districts and unincorporated areas from Eddies Cove in the north to Anchor Point in the south.

Recovery of debt

An amount owing under

section 24 of the Act is a debt due to the board and the board may recover it by civil action in a court.

Withdrawal of service

The board may stop providing a service to a municipal authority, user or other person where the municipal authority, user or other person fails to comply with a policy of the board respecting the service.

Repeal

The Northern Peninsula Regional Service Board Regulations

, Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 34/05, are repealed.
