Order in Council 1746/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing established a development planning area pursuant to subsection 2(1) of the Ontario Planning and Development Act, 1994 , in the City of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham, on April 17, 2003;

And

whereas the Minister amended the development planning area in the City of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham, on March 25, 2004;

And

whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council approved the Central Pickering Development Plan by Order in Council 985/2006 under the authority of the Ontario Planning and Development Act, 1994 ;

And

whereas the Minister approved an amendment to the Central Pickering Development Plan on June 6, 2012;

And

whereas the Minister recommends that the Lieutenant Governor in Council revoke the Central Pickering Development Plan;

Therefore the Central Pickering Development Plan and all amendments thereto are hereby revoked under subsection 4(8) of the Ontario Planning and Development Act, 1994 , S.O. 1994, c. 23, Sched. A, effective the date that an amendment to Ontario Regulation 59/05, to remove any portion of the lands in the development planning area from the Greenbelt Area, comes into force.
