Order in Council 73/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas Order in Council O. C. 356/2018 , dated February 28, 2018, established the position of the Independent Expert on human rights and corrections (the “Independent Expert”);

and

whereas pursuant to Order in Council O. C. 357/2018 dated February 28, 2018, Kelly Hannah-Moffat was appointed as the Independent Expert for a term of one year ending on February 27, 2019;

and

whereas it is desirable that Kelly Hannah-Moffat be reappointed as the Independent Expert;

therefore pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, Kelly Hannah-Moffat be reappointed as the Independent Expert to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not to exceed one year effective from February 28, 2019.
