On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Park and Recreation Area Regulation, B.C. Reg. 180/90, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule. — J. MURRAY, Minister of Water, Land and Air Protection; P. G. PLANT, Presiding Member of the Executive Council.

Schedule

Section 23 (1) (

b) of the Park and Recreation Area Regulation, B.C. Reg. 180/90, is amended by adding the following:

(iv) park a vehicle in the frontcountry without payment of the vehicle parking fee required by regulation.

Section 51 (4) is repealed and the following substituted:

(4) The Fees listed in

Schedule C for the use of a frontcountry campsite or for vehicle parking in the frontcountry do not apply to a party containing one or more persons who produce BC Parks approved evidence of receiving federal or provincial income assistance for persons with disabilities.

Schedule C is amended in

section 1

(

a) by repealing paragraph (

c) and substituting the following:

(

c) the fee for backcountry camping or overnight use of cabin accommodation does not apply to children under 13 years of age;

, and

(

b) by repealing paragraph (

e) and substituting the following:

(

e) the annual fee (January 1 to December 31 of each year) for access by vessel applies to Cinnemousun Narrows, Silver Beach, Shuswap Lake Marine (Multi-Site) and Anstey-Hunakwa Parks; .

Schedule C is amended by adding the following section:

(1) The annual fee for a Recreation Stewardship Annual Pass (which allows for its duration unlimited parking for a vehicle in the frontcountry) is $50 until March 31, 2004, and $75 thereafter.

(2) The fee for vehicle parking in the frontcountry without displaying either a current Recreation Stewardship Annual Pass or a valid receipt for overnight camping in that park is $3 a day at the following parks:

Coquihalla Canyon

French Beach

Garibaldi (trailhead)

Goldstream

Gordon Bay

Little Qualicum Falls

Murrin
