B.C. Reg. 234/2004, deposited May 21, 2004, pursuant

to the SAFETY STANDARDS ACT [Sections 5, 84 (1) and 89 (c)].

Order in Council 491/2004, approved and ordered May 20, 2004.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor,

by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective

June 1, 2004,

(

a) paragraph (

c) of B.C. Reg 136/2004 is amended

(

i) by adding "except to the extent that the administration

of the Safety Standards Act or regulations made under that Act is delegated

to a local government," at the beginning of the paragraph, and

(ii) in subparagraph (

i) by striking out "5 to 8, 12

(2), 13, 14 (2), 16, 33 (3) (b), 35 (1) and (2), 43 to 48,

51 to 62, 81, 83 to 85 and 87 to 103" and substituting "4, 5,

6, 8, 43 to 48, 51 to 62, 81, 83 to 85, and 87 to 90 and 91.1", and

(

b) for the purpose of administering, within the jurisdiction

of each of the local governments referred to in column 1 of the table attached

to this order, the regulations referred to in column 2 of the table, the

administration of

(

i) the Safety Standards Act , except for sections

4, 5, 6, 8, 12 (1), 14 (1), 20, 21, 43 to 48, 51 to 62,

81, 83 to 90 and 91.1,

(ii) the Safety Standards General Regulation, and

(iii) the regulations referred to in column 2 of the

table

is delegated to the local government referred to in column 1

of the table.
