B.C. Reg. 252/2019 , deposited December 2, 2019, under the MISCELLANEOUS STATUTES AMENDMENT ACT (NO. 2), 2019 [section 118] and the PROFESSIONAL GOVERNANCE ACT [section 118]. Order in Council 628/2019, approved and ordered December 2, 2019.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) sections 5 to 7 of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 2019 , S.B.C. 2019, c. 36, are brought into force, and

(

b) the Professional Governance General Regulation, B.C. Reg. 107/2019, is amended

as set out in the attached Appendix.

Appendix

1 The Professional Governance General Regulation, B.C. Reg. 107/2019, is amended

by adding the following section:

Authority to set or increase fees

(1) For the purposes of

section 124.1 (2) [interim authority – fees for transition to Act] of the Act, the College of Applied Biology is prescribed.

(2) For the purposes of restricting under

section 124.1 (3) (

b) of the Act the

authority of an affected council to set or increase an annual fee under

section 124.1

(2) of the Act, the following rates of increase over the annual fee payable for the

previous year are prescribed:

(

a) if the affected council has not previously set or increased the annual fee

under

section 124.1 (2) of the Act, 25%;

(

b) in any other case, 7%.
