OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance dated February 11, 1999, pursuant to Sections 2 and 17 of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, is pleased to direct the Minister of Finance to: (1) establish a special fund to be called the Swissair Flight 111 Memorial Trust Fund, the purpose of which fund shall be to accept and administer donations for the creation and maintenance of a memorial for the victims of Swissair Flight 111; (2) deposit to the credit of Swissair Flight 111 Memorial Trust Fund all monies donated to the Province for the purpose of the Fund; and (3) pay out of the Swissair Flight 111 Memorial Trust Fund such sum or sums as the Minister, with the advice of the Chair of the Memorial Advisory Committee, the Administrator of the Swissair Secretariat, and the three Deputy Ministers named as advisors to the Secretariat by the Priorities and Planning Committee, may deem appropriate for the creation and maintenance of the memorial.
