OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance dated May 11, 2001, pursuant to

Section 75 of

Chapter 7 of the Acts of 1996, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Sections 2 and 17 of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, is pleased to: (

a) establish a special fund to be called the Occupational Health and Safety Public Education Trust Fund, for the purpose of public education and promotion related to occupational health and safety, as provided in clause 75(1)(

b) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act; (

b) authorize the deposit to the credit of the Occupational Health and Safety Public Education Trust Fund all monies that are directed for the identified purpose by the courts; and (

c) authorize disbursements to be made from the Occupational Health and Safety Public Education Trust Fund by any two of the persons occupying the following positions: (

i) Deputy Minister of the Department of Environment and Labour, (ii) Executive Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Division of the Department of Environment and Labour, (iii) Director Central Services, Occupational Health and Safety Division of the Department of Environment and Labour.
