OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated September 22, 2004, and pursuant to Sections 4B and 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all other authority in him vested, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Thomas Ward as Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Health Promotion effective June 1, 2004; (

b) ratify, confirm and approve the appointment of Cheryl Doiron as Acting Deputy Minister of Health and Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Health Promotion effective June 1, 2004; (

c) appoint Cheryl Doiron as Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Health Promotion effective September 27, 2004 on such terms and conditions as may be determined by Treasury and Policy Board; (

d) designate Cheryl Doiron as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act and direct that Cheryl Doiron shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; and (

e) designate Cheryl Doiron to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
