EXPLANATORY NOTES

This Bill would

repeal the Farm Products Corporation Act ;

vest the real and personal

property of the Newfoundland and Labrador Farm

Products Corporation in the Crown; and

transfer responsibility for the

obligations and liabilities of the Newfoundland and Labrador Farm Products

Corporation to the Crown.

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and

House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

Short title

1. This

Act may be cited as the Farm Products

Corporation Repeal Act.

2. The Farm

Products Corporation Act is repealed .

Assets and

liabilities to the Crown

(1) In this section, "corporation" means the Newfoundland and Labrador

Farm Products Corporation.

(2) Title to all real and personal property of the

corporation is vested in the Crown.

(3) The Crown is responsible for all the

obligations and liabilities of the corporation.
