OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated April 29, 2009, pursuant to
Section 13 of
Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to, effective May 4, 2009: (
a) appoint Ann Mann of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of 3 years; (
b) fix the remuneration of Ann Mann as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board at $150 per meeting; and (
c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Ann Mann and indemnify her from personal liability provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
