OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated June 17, 2026, and pursuant to
Section 84 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act and subsection 10(1) of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Mark Peck as Associate Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, effective June 26, 2026; (
b) revoke the appointment of Nicole Johnson Morrison as Associate Deputy Minister of Opportunities and Social Development, effective July 6, 2026; (
c) appoint Nicole Johnson Morrison as Associate Deputy Minister of L’nu Affairs, effective July 6, 2026; (
d) appoint Ian James as Associate Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia, effective July 6, 2026; (
e) direct that Ian James shall receive benefits associated with the position of Associate Deputy Minister as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; and (
f) fix and determine the salary of Ian James to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers.
