B.C. Reg. 101/2025 , deposited July 3, 2025, under the PHARMACY OPERATIONS AND DRUG SCHEDULING ACT [section 22]. Resolution of the Board of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, dated April 25, 2025.

The Board of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia orders that the Drug Schedules Regulation, B.C. Reg. 9/98, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix.

Appendix

1 The Drug Schedules Regulation, B.C. Reg. 9/98, is amended by adding the following sections:

Adoption of national drug lists

(1) In this section:

"National Drug Schedules" means the National Drug Schedules produced by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities;

"Prescription Drug List" has the meaning given to it in

section A.01.010 of the Food and Drug Regulations, C.R.C., c. 870.

(2) Subject to

section 5, the National Drug Schedules and the Prescription Drug List are adopted as follows:

(

a) drugs that are listed in the Prescription Drug List or

Schedule I of the National Drug Schedules are, if not listed in a

Schedule to this regulation, deemed to be listed in

Schedule I of this regulation;

(

b) drugs that are listed in

Schedule II of the National Drug Schedules are, if not listed in a

Schedule to this regulation, deemed to be listed in

Schedule II of this regulation;

(

c) drugs that are listed in

Schedule III of the National Drug Schedules are, if not listed in a

Schedule to this regulation, deemed to be listed in

Schedule III of this regulation.

(3) For the purposes of

section 22 (3) and (4) of the Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act ,

(

a) the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities is a body approved by the board, and

(

b) the Prescription Drug List and the National Drug Schedules are adopted as amended from time to time.

Exception

Section 4 (2) does not apply to a drug listed in the table below.

Excepted Drugs

Antiprogestins including but not limited to mifepristone and its derivatives

Ephedrine and its salts

Naloxone and its salts

Nicotine and its salts for human use

Prostaglandins and their salts and derivatives or analogues including but not limited to misoprostol

Pseudoephedrine and its salts

Semaglutide

Sex hormones (natural or synthetic) including but not limited to levonorgestrel

Vaccines
