OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated February 6, 2026, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , is pleased, effective on and after April 1, 2026, to: (

a) revoke paragraphs (

e) and (

f) of Order in Council 2016-230, dated September 27, 2016, assigning ministerial responsibility for certain health inspectors and enforcement officers; (

b) assign to the Minister of Health and Wellness all affairs and matters relating to: (

i) the appointment of administrators and public health inspectors under Sections 4 and 5 of the Safe Body Art Act, (ii) the designation of persons or classes of persons as enforcement officers under

Section 4 of the Snow Sport Helmet Act, and (iii) the designation of persons or classes of persons to act as enforcement officers under

Section 4 of the Tanning Beds Act; and (

c) assign to the Minister of Agriculture all affairs and matters relating to the administration of

Part II of the Health Protection Act.
