OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated August 17, 2005, pursuant to Sections 5 and 7 of
Chapter 11 of the Acts of 1992, the Utility and Review Board Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Dawna J. Ring, Q.C., of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a full-time member of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board effective September 9, 2005; (
b) appoint Murray Doehler of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a full-time member of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board effective September 9, 2005; (
c) determine the remuneration of Dawna J. Ring, Q.C., and Murray Doehler as full time members of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, to be in accordance with the management compensation plan (DM11(90)), approved from time to time by the Governor in Council, in accordance with Order in Council 2005-344, dated July 29, 2005; and (
d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dawna J. Ring, Q.C., and Murray Doehler as full-time members of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board and nullify them from personal liability, provided however that any claim arising out of their activity in relation to these appointments and designations is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them the Province will be in control of the case.
