B.C. Reg. 451/2003, deposited December 5, 2003, pursuant to the HEALTH ACT [Sections 8 (2) (

i) and 33 (2)]. Order in Council 1167/2003, approved and ordered December 4, 2003.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Swimming Pool, Spray Pool and Wading Pool Regulations, B.C. Reg 289/72, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule. — C. HANSEN, Minister of Health Services; G. ABBOTT, Presiding Member of the Executive Council.

Schedule

Section 2 of the Swimming Pool, Spray Pool and Wading Pool Regulations, B.C. Reg. 289/72, is amended by repealing the definition of "minister" .

Section 4 is amended by striking out "minister for such construction, or any engineer designated by the minister to issue such certificates" and substituting "medical health officer".

Section 5 is amended by striking out "minister or an engineer designated under

section 4 at the time of application written assurance from the medical health officer of" and substituting "medical health officer at the time of application written assurance from".

Section 7 is amended by striking out "minister or an engineer designated under

section 4," and substituting "medical health officer,".

5 Parts 3, 12 and 13 are repealed.

Section 14 is amended by striking out "minister or his representative" and substituting "medical health officer".

7 Sections 15, 16 and 96 are amended by striking out "minister" wherever it appears and substituting "medical health officer".

Section 60 is amended by striking out "minister's" and substituting "medical health officer's".

Section 72 is amended by striking out "or the minister".
