Order in Council 1376/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas subsection 28(2) of the Pay Equity Act provides that the Lieutenant Governor in Council shall designate one of the deputy presiding officers to be alternate presiding officer and in the absence of the presiding officer or if the presiding officer is unable to act, the alternate presiding officer shall have all of the powers of the presiding officer;

And

whereas Caroline Rowan was appointed as deputy presiding officer by Order in Council OC 1164/2020, dated August 6, 2020;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 28(2) of the Pay Equity Act,

Caroline Rowan of Toronto

be designated as part-time alternate presiding officer of the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal for a fixed term ending August 5, 2022 effective the date this Order in Council is made.
