OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated April 18, 2018, and pursuant to subsections 672.5(14), 722(4) and 722.2(2) of

Chapter 46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code, is pleased to: (

a) revoke Order in Council 94-597 dated August 3, 1994; (

b) designate the Victim Impact Statement Program of the Department of Justice Victim Services, established under

Chapter 14 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Victims’ Rights and Services Act , as the program for the preparation of victim impact statements and community impact statements for the purposes of subsections 722(4) and 722.2(2) of the Criminal Code (Canada); and (

c) approve Form 34.2 in

Part XXVIII of the Criminal Code (Canada) as an approved form for the purposes of a victim impact statement under subsection 672.5(14) and of the Criminal Code (Canada).
