OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Chair of Treasury and Policy Board dated January 13, 2006, and pursuant to
Section 3 of
Chapter 496 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Voluntary Planning Act, is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Malcolm Shookner of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Voluntary Planning Board; (
b) appoint Carl Doty of Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board, for a term of office of three years, commencing February 1, 2006; and (
c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above named and indemnify him from personal liability provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to the appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activities, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
