Section 11 of the Family Services Act,

chapter F-2.2 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1980, is amended 1 L’article 11 de la

a) by repealing subsection (1) and substituting the following:

a) par l’abrogation du paragraphe (1) et son rem- placement par ce qui suit : 11(1) All information acquired by the Minister or an- other person in relation to any person or matter under this Act, whether of a documentary nature or otherwise, is confidential to the extent that its release would tend to re- veal personal information about a person identifiable from the release of the information. 11(1) Tout renseignement, de nature documentaire ou autre, que le Ministre ou une autre personne obtient au sujet d’une personne ou d’une question que vise la présente loi est confidentiel dans la mesure où sa communication tendrait à dévoiler l’identité d’une personne et à révéler sur elle des renseignements personnels. b) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following:

c) by repealing subsection (3) and substituting the following:

i) to review the circumstances surrounding the death of a child under the age of majority who was in the care of the Minister under

Part IV or who was known to the child protection system in the 12 months before the child’s death, and (

2 The Act is amended by adding after

section 11.2 the following: 2 La Loi est modifiée par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après l’article 11.2 : 11.3 If a provision of this Act is inconsistent with or in conflict with a provision of the Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, this Act prevails. 11.3 Les dispositions de la présente loi l’emportent sur toute disposition incompatible de la

Loi sur le droit à l’in- formation et la protection de la vie privée.
