Roman Valley Nature Reserve Ecological Site Designation

made under

Section 14 of the

Special Places Protection Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 438

In the matter of

Section 14 of

Chapter 438 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989,

the Special Places Protection Act

- and -

In the matter of the designation of an ecological site near East Roman Valley,

Guysborough County to be known as the Roman Valley Nature Reserve

I, Mark Parent, Minister of Environment and Labour for the Province of Nova Scotia, pursuant

Section 14 of

Chapter 438 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Special Places

Protection Act , hereby designate the area of land described in Appendix A and shown on the

map in Appendix B, attached to and forming part of this order, as an ecological site, to be

known as the Roman Valley Nature Reserve.

This designation is effective on and after the date it is published in the Royal Gazette.

Appendix A

Roman Valley Nature Reserve Description

All that certain tract of land and land covered by water shown outlined in bold line and

identified as “Roman Valley Nature Reserve”, on Field Plot P-005/06, entitled Roman Valley

Nature Reserve , filed at the Department of Natural Resources Office at Halifax, said tract of

land located near East Roman Valley, Guysborough County, Province of Nova Scotia.

Containing a total area of 57 hectares more or less.
